Boy Scouts of America...Important to Save

This week is an exciting one for us.... Moses had accomplished a great feat.... He is now joined the ranks of a very few men: He has advanced to Eagle Scout!!

This is only accomplished by a very small percentage in the Boy Scout world.  It's one of those things where you need vision to motivate yourself to finish the requirements.  His older three brothers didn't see that vision although they helped other boys accomplish their Eagle....they didn't feel the need to accomplish their own.

This is true for many boy scouts. They love scouting and all that it includes but the drive to be an Eagle Scout is lost somewhere around 16 years of age.  Moses is 17 but wanted to finish what he had started.  His project last year to build 10 bird houses for our local park.

It was so much fun to have friends and family help with this project and we finished with a bang at the park with the Elder's Quorum sponsoring a barbeque.   It was truly a group effort.

Boy Scouts of America have been around since 1910 and have been the strength and fellowship for thousands of boys.  We need to keep our Boy Scouts of America strong so those boys who are able to join can create a wonderful life of service, adventure and accomplishment.

Accomplishment is what gives people their self-worth and the boys scouts is a great tool.
