Emergency Survival For Women

I started to write an informational article for a website I contribute to and realized there was just too much information in my notes to do justice for a 700 word article.  So I decided to dedicate a post of all this information in one spot for others to help themselves become better prepared in case of a natural disaster or any other emergency.  Much of this information I credit to my emergency preparedness mentor: Gary. He seems to have fallen off the face of the earth but while he was with us at training meetings, we learned a lot.
To him I credit a lot of what is posted here:   Click on any of the lists and it will be easier to read......

An interesting idea for those who have access to pantyhose. Not something most of us think about:

This next bit of information is very sensitive.... Tampons have always been a "women's only" topic but after learning about how useful they are in many other ways (especially in emergencies) that I felt that I had to post this for everyone to read...

This is a great resource to start your preparing on a budget over the whole year....most people think about what they can do and stop there.... This puts your ideas to motion so you can do it...

Mother's Day Bash

Lots of reasons to celebrate!!!!  Mothers are wonderful!!!

Here is a tribute to mothers.... a Mother's Day Bash of all things wonderful about mothers. Some are funny. Some are more serious and thoughtful...

"While we tend to equate motherhood solely with maternity, in the Lord's language, the word mother has layers of meanings. Of all the words they could have chosen to define her role and her essence , both God the Father and Adam called Eve the mother of all living--- and they did so before she ever bore a child. Like Eve, our motherhood began before we were born.

Just as worthy men were foreordained to hold the priesthood in mortality, righteous women were endowed pre-mortally with the privilege of motherhood.

Motherhood is more than bearing children, though it is certainly that. It is the essence of who we are as women. It defines our very identity, our divine stature and nature, and the unique traits our Father gave us."

It's my mother's birthday today!!  May 8th!! She would have been 84.....
